The Red River Shootout…

Here's the compulsory "best signs" feature from College Game Day the morning of the game from Dallas. And, yes, I still call it the "Red River Shootout" in the same way I still call Florida - Georgia, "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party."

It was my first trip to this game, the Cotton Bowl, and the Texas State Fair. The fair itself literally surrounds the Cotton Bowl with most of the fair rides and midway games that you see drop from the sky into your local church's parking lot on an annual basis. The Texas fair has 3 unique characteristics though: "Big Tex", the Cotton Bowl, and an obsession with deep frying.

I'll give you a look at some of the more interesting food items that meet the deep fryer at the fair on Tuesday.
