The "corny dog" arrived at the Texas State Fair about 70 years ago.

The deep fried hot dog spawned countless variations.

Fried Cheesecake, deep fried latte, fried Snickers, fried Oreos, texas fried Jelly Belly, fried Moon Pie, fried S'mores, fried Twinkies, fried peanut butter, jelly, and banana sandwiches.

Fried Coke exploded onto the scene in 2006. It exploded through my gastrointestinal system in 2009.

Fried Butter: this year's "hot" new item.

Dan Sheldon:

    "What's it taste like?"

Fair attendee:

    "Awesomeness actually. It's really good."

"They think things are big in Texas, we got big things in Oklahoma too."

"The rivalry developed because Texas is the best school in the world and OU sucks."

Longhorn Sports Network:

"The Texas Longhorns have now won 4 of the last 5 Red River Rivalry matchups with the Oklahoma Sooners. They do it again."
