Carlos Boozer to Stay in Utah?: “I’ve made that clear.”
Carlos Boozer made it clear last summer he wanted out of Utah. Now he has a different message...
Last summer, Carlos Boozer did the radio rounds in Chicago and Miami talking about his desire to play in those cities if the Jazz would finally set him free and trade him away from Salt Lake City.
Now he has a new, albeit terse, message for everyone as told to Jim Rome on his radio show Monday.
"I've obviously made my point of where I would like to be at and everything will take care of itself in July. At this point I'm obviously trying to focus on my team and trying to beat the Lakers...
I'll worry about free agency when free agency gets here."
For the record is Utah where you want to be?
"Yeah. I've made that clear."
Really, the biggest news to come out of the interview was Jim Rome's elevation in status in the world of Boozer. Usually, Boozer will call you "guys" whether he's being interviewed by one person or a hundred.
Instead, he addressed Rome at the beginning of the conversation with, "Hey I'm doing well, Jim. How you doing, buddy?"
He ended the conversation with, "Thanks, Jim."
That might not sound like a big deal in most situations, but it's an alarming level of courtesy shown by the, "Thanks, guys" guy.
