LeBron James a Clipper? Chris Webber would not be surprised.

Posted on May 19, 2010

Former pro thinks LeBron could be sharing the Staples Center with Kobe Bryant...

Speaking with KLAC radio in Los Angeles, Chris Webber talked about LBJ's chances of becoming a Clipper and, more amazingly, seemed to keep a straight face throughout:

"I would not be surprised if he ended up in LA. I think LA is one of three teams he could go to. I mean if you look at it, he goes to the Clippers, they have the best team. They have the best team already: A rookie that hasn't gotten to play yet, Chris Kaman is one of the best centers in the league to me, Baron Davis if he's in shape and has his head on right. If he has a player like that, he can play there. I'm just saying I know I wouldn't do it if I was him just because I wouldn't do anything in Clipperville because they've never proven that they've been committed to winning. Just committed to saving money and not letting their fans get any victories. So I don't know about that but, hey, I would not be surprised man. You never know. You never know."

Leaving Cleveland for New York would be brutal for that town. Leaving Cleveland for "Clipperville" would likely mean he should prepare for an 81 game schedule the rest of his career and just skip that one trip back to Ohio.
