Is South Africa truly ready?...

Approximately 15 are injured in a stampede outside the gates prior to a soccer friendly between Nigeria and North Korea. World Cup organizers say this is not a reflection on their preparation level and that responsibility for the breakdown lies with the Nigerian contingent which was the designated "host" team for the exhibition. Prior to the actual start of the World Cup, FIFA says that the designated hosts of the exhibition are responsible for their own security measures.

While having considered attending the events in person, I'll happily be watching... from afar.
