Horace Grant Confirms “No Tippin” Pippen

Former teammate claims Michael Jordan was even worse...
More than a decade after it was dissolved, there are still unconfirmed myths surrounding the Chicago Bulls dynasty. Did Michael Jordan leave basketball the first time around for a reason other than an undying desire to test his baseball skills? Was the nickname Scottie "No Tippin'" Pippen truly deserved?
Former Bulls power forward Horace Grant offers his take to WMVP AM 1000 in Chicago on the weekend of Pippen's induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame:
"I can say that is pretty accurate with Scottie 'No Tippin' Pippen. That's one of my best friends and I can say, yeah, it's 'No Tippin Pippen.' He was tight. He was very tight and in order to get a good tip from him, you were going to have to do some extraordinary things with serving his food.
Overall, he tipped the waiters and waitresses according to their service.
But Michael was more tighter than Scottie.
If you were a caddy for MJ, you were going to have to hope and pray before you caddy for him that he has a good day."

The reason why Jordan left basketball isn’t a secret: it’s because his dad died and he lost the passion for basketball, and he wanted to go back to the sport that gave him a connection with his father: baseball. Jordan said it himself.
