New Braves Manager Expects Chipper Jones to be Back

"The plan for him is..."

Fredi Gonzalez seemed rather comfortable fitting right back into the Atlanta Braves organization. It's almost like he lives in Marietta during the offseason or something.

Speaking of familiar, Gonzalez doesn't seem to have much doubt that Chipper Jones will be manning 3rd base for another season at the Ted. As told to AM 680 in Atlanta:

"I expect him to come to spring training and, god, just before he got hurt he was having a pretty good couple of months there after he said he was going to retire. But I hope, as we speak, the plan for him is to come to spring training and get ready for the 2011 season."
